The Chicago metro area chapter of the Fellowship of Reconciliation organizes educational and advocacy events on current social issues, sponsors workshops on active nonviolence, and works with ally groups in the community to create a more peaceful and just world. The Chicago FOR chapter is especially engaged with FOR’s I Will Not Kill campaign, focused on helping young people choose peaceful and non-military careers and providing counter-recruitment to the U.S. Armed Forces in schools and at events like the annual Cornerstone Music Festival.

Members of the Chicago FOR chapter live and work in all areas of the metro Chicago region. The chapter holds monthly meetings, typically in the western suburbs of the city, and works with young leaders in local colleges, especially at DePaul University.
