You are invited to FOR’s Shadowcliff headquarters in Upper Nyack for an Estate Sale, to be held from Thursday, Feb. 9 to Saturday, Feb. 11.
The Fellowship of Reconciliation is preparing to move locally, after being based at our 521 N. Broadway location for over 60 years. Please come for a visit and tour this historic 1921 home one last time.
We encourage you to arrive early on Friday (the sale will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day) if you are interested in buying some of the historical items on-site that we will have for sale.
Please note that throughout the past two years, staff and interns have been diligently going through our historic materials to preserve and label items that are being sent to our official archives at the Swarthmore College Peace Collection.
We know that many of you have wonderful memories of FOR’s Shadowcliff home on the Hudson. So we want to give our supporters, near and far, one more opportunity to visit this special property before the new owners, a private family, take occupancy.
Items for sale include:
- Dishes and kitchen items
- Gardening items and tools
- Miscellaneous furniture (chairs, desks, tables, bed frames, etc.)
- Filing cabinets
- TV and miscellaneous equipment
Come get special discounts on our unique bookstore collection, including one-of-a-kind gift cards and back issues drawn from a century of publication of our award-winning magazine, Fellowship, and its predecessor, The World Tomorrow.
If the parking lot is full, we ask that you please park in appropriate areas, one or two blocks away, as on-street parking is no longer allowed within a block of Shadowcliff.
Numbers will be given at door by the Estate Sale manager, Stephanie’s Storage Sale (Facebook Event page here). Come early to get best selection.
