IN THE MONTH OF OCTOBER, 2003, NYC-based hip-hop artist collective Movement in Motion and FOR’s National Peacemaker Training Institute will perform and educate throughout the Northeast on the “Drop Beats Not Bombs: Power of Nonviolence Tour.”

Our performances and workshops will leave you inspired and ready to use ART, Music, Rhythm, and SURPRISE to transform power and organize to change the US prison/military industrial complex’s control and influence on people in the US and abroad.

We are seeking local hosts who will help set us up at high schools, universities, and w/clubs and cafes. We are focusing on campuses by day, clubs/cafes by night. The menu which campus organizer’s can choose from includes:

*interactive keynote address “Drop Beats Not Bombs: The Power of Nonviolence”

*outdoor performance w/tabling and poster sale

(recommended scheduled over lunch)

*1 to 3 hour workshops on nonviolent organizing (w/music), focusing on education as reparations for nonviolent drug offenders and military counter-recruitment AND/OR on developing a campaign to address justice issues affecting your campus/community. An all day “mini-PTI” workshop is also available.

*lunch or dinner w/small group of progressive students and community members

*evening Movement in Motion show on campus or at local club or café
