This form can help you anticipate the costs of an FOR Nonviolence Basic Training and help you decide what to charge participants. Individual circumstances will vary, so this is only a planning guide.
Fixed Expenses
$900 Stipends for 2 Co-Facilitators @ $450 $100 FOR Contribution (facilitator training, support, referrals, advertising, evaluation) $ Training Packets @ $2.00 + postage $ Training Manuals @ $20.00 + postageVariable Expenses

1. Determine your total costs. The above guidelines can help you.
2. Determine total donations (the financial sponsorships and needed materials you will receive).
3. Subtract total donations from total costs. Then divide the answer by the number of participants.
4. To make the training affordable to more people: (1) You could state the actual cost per trainee and a sliding scale with low and high amounts, asking some to pay more than the actual cost in order to assist others. (2) And/or you can offer scholarships paid for by special donations from faith communities, peace and justice groups, nonprofits, town council, schools, civic groups, etc.
