About FOR's May 2007 Delegation to Iran
The Fellowship of Reconciliation's (FOR) fourth peacemaking delegation to Iran departed for Tehran on May 15, 2007 for a 12-day peace mission. The group of grassroots civilian diplomats will return to the United States on May 30, 2007.
The interfaith delegation is led by Leila Zand, FOR's Iran program coordinator, and John Lindsay-Poland, co-coordinator of FOR's Task Force on Latin America and the Caribbean. Zand is a native of Iran and resident of Niskayuna, New York, and is leading her second delegation to her home country. Lindsay-Poland lives in Oakland, California, and has led FOR civilian diplomacy delegations to several countries in the Americas.
