Faith Voices for the Common Good
Faith Voices educates the wider public about the shared values, issues, and ethical concerns of religious people and their organizations and contributes to the renewal of American democratic life through inter-religious education and knowledge.
We coordinate and enhance collaborative work among our diverse networks with a focus on major social issues, such as ecumenical and interfaith understanding, economic justice, and nonviolence. We make use of various internet technologies and face-to-face events to encourage dialogue, to deepen understanding, and to generate ideas and strategies.
We focus, especially, on the application of religious ideas and innovative strategies to
- Spark new thinking about and framing of values, religion, and public policy
- Broaden the public role of theological schools and religious scholars
- Develop effective educational strategies for social transformation
