Expert Panel Uniformly Warns "Do Not Attack Iran"
It was our introduction to the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations which co-hosted a stellar panel of experts on the Middle East for a discussion of the future of Muslim-West relations. Moderated by Roger Cohen, New York Times Correspondent and including Amb. Martin Indyk, Prof. Marc Lynch, Time Magazine Columnist Joe Klein, writer and pundit Reza Aslan, and Gallup Center for Muslim Studies expert, Dalia Mogahed, the group represented a decent spectrum of differing opinions on the normal range of issues regarding Israel, the Arabs and Iran. But they were uniformly uneasy about the rising rhetorical stridency of neoconservatives on the issue of Iran and the tragic mistake it would be to respond with an attack. The entire debate can be accessed online. The site offers an introduction to a useful web resource, Global Expert Finder, Analysis on Demand.
