Bradley Manning, We Can't Let Him Stand Alone

Bradley Manning’s courage, honesty and idealism are a shining light. Sadly, the prosecution has decided to go ahead with their case for the most serious charges. Of course they want to make sure that this breach of ‘security’ will not happen again. The question is whose security are they protecting? The unfortunate response of our government to the Geneva Conventions appears to be an initiative to make war a secret business. Like any other criminal they depend on secrecy and deciet to pursue their illegal and immoral practices. They don’t want to ‘appear’ to be breaking any laws and they don’t want the people to be disturbed by the violence, cruelty and destruction that are the realities of war.
it is fine to call the White House and contact your Congression Representatives on Bradley Mannings behalf. However, it isn’t enough. We need to let them know loud and clear that we are tired of the lies, and that we cannot continue to call ourselves a democracy when our interests are discarded in the interest of grand plans for global dominion and arrogant assumptions that the lives of ordinary men and women around the globe are nothing more than ‘resources’ to be manipluated in the grand scheme of those whose interests matter.
We need to put Bradley Mannings name and his words every where people will see them, and celebrate his heroism in very public ways. AWe can support Bradley Manning by taking to the streets en-masse and telling the government that we refuse to support these unnecessary wars any longer. These are trategic wars in the game of world dominance which are bleeding our resources and corrupting our morality. We need to understand as Bradley does that silence is complicity.
We can let Bradley know that his message has been heard and that the people are behind him by taking up his standard and carrying it forward, on the streets, on facebook, in our publications, and in our personal spheres of relationship.
