Fact Not Fiction: Reassessing Zero Dark Thirty
The new movie, Zero Dark Thirty, opened nationwide this week to critical acclaim and has already been nominated for many awards. Unfortunately, the filmmakers chose to imply — inaccurately — that torture led to useful intelligence in the hunt for Osama bin Laden.
Along with the National Religious Campaign Against Torture (NRCAT), the Fellowship of Reconciliation is urging our constituents to watch and promote NRCAT’s excellent 20-minute video laying out the facts that torture is immoral, illegal, and counterproductive.
The free video can be watched online here and more information related to NRCAT’s “Fact Not Fiction” campaign can be accessed here.
